Something you don't see every day

I don't know about you but I have never witnessed a mouse nursing it's young. Ray, the kid that helps Bob cut grass, was dis-assembling our homemade smoker and came across this . The mouse was terrified and kept trying to hide. So we snapped a couple pictures and let it do it's thing.

Oh, that's so cute!

I'm glad you let them go. I would have done the same thing.

They will reward you with little black treasures in your soap dish this winter.

You are good souls.

Yes we did let them go and I know all too well of the little black treasures they leave behind. And while we may be good souls for letting them go our dogs and cat do not have the same compassion for the mice as we do.

Hopefully they headed away from the house away from the dogs and the cat.

Wow! That is a cool photo!

And yes, we have little black gifts inour house under the sink. Cold weather, and our house is suddenly full of pets.

yes...so much to discover out there in nature.

Maybe someday I'll post the picture of the snakes that Bob found in the laundry room. Glad I wasn't there to witness that firsthand.
